Can chew fentanyl patch

Fentanyl patches that are leaking or damaged in any way should not be used. Exposure to fentanyl gel may lead to serious adverse events, including respiratory depression and possible overdose, which may be fatal. Anyone who comes in contact with fentanyl gel should thoroughly rinse exposed skin with large amounts of water only; do not use soap. Immediately dispose of affected patches that may be damaged or compromised in any way by flushing them down the toilet, using caution not to handle them directly.

Well this really wouldn't be an issue for the majority of us, seeing as how we actually consume the gel, haha. Feelings Of U4ia , Oct 29, I'm a solid opiate user for well over 5 years now and it's my drug of choice. I've never injected and never plan to because I'll probably love it too much and it will kill me. My main opiate of choice is oxycodone. In order from best to worst is oxycontin80's,40's, and 20's. I preferr percs over the 10's because the aceto combo seems to give you more of a rush.

Can't afford to keep messing with street dealers due to job loss. Over the years I've collected opiates from every shape and for to use in time like this. I have morph sulfates mg and 30,hydro morphones 12 and 18 mg, tramacets well over a laying here in boxes, tramoadol straight, tramadol mg time release, codeine contin mg.

I just started reading this thread and registered here to find out info on these patches. I'm shocked that they are stronger than OC's. This morning I put a patch on my limeted area of Fat at the love handle area. I shave with a razor, cleaned the area with rubbing alcohol and stuck it on. That was at 8am and still have had a rush yet. So I opened another one after reading here and cut a 3rd of a 75mcg off and stuck it to my gums and then kept chewing it for over a half an hour. I did taste some bitterness that I was looking for for but no vomiting and nods and even close to an OC type rush.

What is the deal?????? Fentanyl patches are meant for chronic pain. You are not helping patients relieve their acute pain. With an onset of action that takes hours to days once applied, a patient can be in pain for a long period of time before the drug begins having an effect. Delayed withdrawal. Fentanyl patches basically create a deposit of drug being slowly absorbed through the skin. I remember a case where a patient was on a chronic higher dose mcg and the patch was discontinued in the ED without any follow up or supplemental opioids.

Long story short, they ended up having withdrawal symptoms, but not until hours after they were discharged. Remember slow onset as well as slow elimination and offset. Drug diversion. These cases even go to the point of diverters removing used patches from dementia patients. Looking for more real world clinical pearls? I totally agree with your post and the dangers of fentanyl. I would like to add one more concern. If a patient has a fever, uses an electric blanket or sits in a warm bath, the drug will be released from the patch much quicker and the patient may be at risk of toxicity. Patients need to be well educated on the patch before they use it. Actually the bath or shower need to be really long before it does a difference thats noticable ….

I would add two other problems. In a very hot climate when sweating is problem, I found the patches did not adhere well. I saw some patients when the duration of the patch was about 48 hours. They were coming back sooner and in a lot of pain. This is not necessarily the correct interpretation across the board and each patient should be monitored individually for actual response vs time curve.

My most recent time under the knife, of one of the most outstanding Neurosurgeons in my area, performed a revision and fusion of C5-C6-C7 with hardware , then in 3 weeks a laminectomy at my Pro-Disc level, L3-L4. Well, I guess God must have some kind of a plan for me is all I can say…… God bless you all and take care. Thanks for sharing your story.

Eye opening. I had no idea people tried to chew these or that was even an idea in someones brain. That is crazy, but drugs can make the mind and body do mysterious things. How brave it is for people to come froward and share their experience for other to learn. Thank God you are alive and still here to help others. Highly recommend quianine for restless legs at night or day. Two tblsp apple cider vinegar will also help and is more easily available. Good luck! Bruh xanax is way way way worse to come off of than fentynal.

Extremely bad advice. Go to a detox center! I recommend doing what others do and use a method that resonates with you. By having lots of options, you can customize your detox to fit your individual needs. Although I do understand that having too much information can be confusing.

Additionally, there are other websites on addiction recovery, and perhaps there is one or more that will not have so many ways to get off opiates, and thus be less confusing. I have 3 blogs, 3 email lists, and 4 online courses to answer comments and questions for.

It sounds like you are in a lot of pain and really need direction with how to get off opiates. What is your situation? What opiates are you on and for how long? Let me know and I can provide you with some of my best recommendations based on your situation. Oh and P. Makes me sad cause at first it gave me hope but then your methodS shattered that hope. That must be awful. I hope that you find your way. If there is anything I can do to assist you, please use the contact page to send me an email.

Matt provides information to help many different people who have different situations with different bodies. What works for one may not work for another and vice versa. I understand it can be overwhelming at first with the amount of info but many people have to try different ways before reaching success.

I hope you find what you need. How do u keep from being sick trying to get off opiates meds no sleep restless diarehhia vomiting wat can i take to ova cum ths at home. If anyone needs someone to talk to at times as a sponser I might be able to help.

It is me again, Tim. Yes, I have used fentanyl patch of 50mg. I mentioned before that I was addiction to any opiate as recreational pleasure.

I have chewed gel patch but not when it is opened. No way because I knew I would be dead as I have had few scares because you could feel your heart beat harder. After 3 days, I chew them little by little as a whole because if you cut open and eat the gel, you will be on deathbed.
